Consolidating the Gains APPMG Annual Report 2011-2012

The 2011-12 Malaria report sets out the progress made in the past year, the main message being that progress continues but that challenges remain and some have grown. The report outlined four areas of interest: malaria burden, progress and potential, the threat of resistance, financing malaria control, and the need to importance of strengthening health systems as whole entities. The report also highlights the way that the UK excels in malaria research and pharmaceutical development. A final conclusion contains specific recommendations for DFID, the travel industry, malaria-endemic countries, and other stakeholders.
